StayCyberSafe was excited to host a community workshop at the Poway Library, where local seniors gathered to learn practical ways to stay safe in today’s digital world. The session focused on teaching basic yet essential skills—such as creating strong passwords, spotting suspicious emails, adjusting privacy settings, and safely using online banking and shopping tools.
The workshop was interactive, with seniors asking questions, practicing on their devices, and sharing their own online experiences. Many participants expressed relief at finally having clear, simple steps to protect themselves against scams and threats they had worried about before.

The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many saying they felt more confident and better prepared to navigate the internet. For StayCyberSafe, it was a rewarding experience to see the immediate impact of providing seniors with the knowledge and tools they need to stay secure.
Events like this highlight the importance of building digital confidence in our senior communities, and StayCyberSafe is proud to continue expanding this mission throughout San Diego.
