StayCyberSafe recently conducted a free cybersecurity workshop in the Pacific Beach community in San Diego, California — bringing its curriculum-based training directly to local seniors.
The session was led by founders Neil and Rohan Chandra, who walked attendees through some of today's most common online threats - from phishing attempts and AI-generated scam calls to urgency tactics used by fraudsters to pressure victims into acting fast. Seniors in the room were engaged and vocal, asking questions, taking notes, and sharing their own experiences with suspicious messages and calls.
What stood out at the Pacific Beach workshop was the energy in the room. These weren't passive attendees - they were community members who showed up ready to learn and leave better protected.
Pacific Beach adds to a growing list of San Diego communities where StayCyberSafe has delivered workshops, part of a broader mission to ensure that every senior has access to the practical cybersecurity skills they need — not just general awareness, but real, behavior-changing education.
The workshop is free. The impact is lasting.
