StayCyberSafe recently hosted another community-focused cybersecurity workshop in North Carolina, this time at Album Senior Living in Matthews. As our presence in the state continues to grow, this workshop reinforced the importance of bringing clear, accessible digital safety education directly to seniors where they live.

Rather than focusing on technical details, the session emphasized awareness and decision-making, helping residents understand when to be cautious online and how to respond if something doesn’t feel right. Topics included identifying scam messages, safely managing personal information, recognizing trusted websites, and knowing what steps to take if a potential threat occurs.
The residents of Album Senior Living were deeply engaged throughout the workshop, sharing their own experiences and asking insightful questions. Many expressed heartfelt thanks at the end of the session, sharing how reassuring it was to finally feel better prepared and less anxious about navigating the digital world. Several residents commented that the workshop provided peace of mind, not just information.
This event was a powerful reminder that cybersecurity education is about more than technology—it’s about confidence, independence, and community trust. StayCyberSafe is grateful for the warm welcome in Matthews and looks forward to continuing to support seniors across North Carolina and beyond.
