For For most high school students, summer means a much-needed break from classes, exams, and deadlines. For StayCyberSafe student leaders, it means something else entirely - more time, more flexibility, and more opportunities to show up for the communities that need them most.
This summer, NC Chapter President Sid is making the most of it.

A New Community Reached
StayCyberSafe recently expanded its North Carolina presence with a workshop at Village on Morehead Senior Living Center - a brand new community for the chapter. Sid led residents through an engaging, curriculum-based session covering some of today's most common cybersecurity threats, including phishing attempts, AI-generated scam calls, urgency tactics, and identity theft.
The goal, as always, was not just awareness, but real behavior change. Teaching seniors practical skills they can apply the moment they walk out of the room.
StayCyberSafe is a youth-led organization providing free, curriculum-based cybersecurity education to seniors. Active chapters in CA, IL, NC, MD, TN, and AZ.
